Hello! Please come and join us on our adventure in Auz. We’re a group of 16 Lakeland College students and two staff who will be “down under” between June 13 and July 11, 2010.
We’re all part of the Human Services department on our Vermilion campus. We’re students in a variety of programs including child and youth care, disability studies, early learning and child care and educational assistant.
Lakeland College has a relationship with the South West TAFE, and we are the largest group to date who will be visiting Australia through this link.
We will start our adventure in Melbourne, spend time in Warrnambool and end our visit in Auckland, New Zealand.
This journey actually started in October 2009 when planning for the trip began. Each student had to apply and be accepted to take part in this educational opportunity.
We range in age between 18 and 50 years. Our goals and expectations are very similar. We want to see a new culture, gain new insights into how human services sectors operate in Australia and experience whatever this trip has to offer.

I happen to be writing to let you understand what a exceptional discovery my girl developed browsing your webblog. She picked up a good number of details, not to mention what it’s like to have a marvelous coaching style to get a number of people effortlessly gain knowledge of specific complex subject areas. You really did more than people’s expected results. I appreciate you for supplying these warm and helpful, safe, explanatory and fun thoughts on that topic to Janet.
